Purple Media's journey began in Taiwan in 2012 as an educational media company.
By 2015, it expanded its reach to Nigeria with the establishment of IBN Media Productions Ltd. A year later, the company rebranded to Purple Media Co. Ltd. in Taiwan, shifting its focus to video production and launching the Genesis Creator Space.
In 2017, Purple Media evolved into a full-service agency and expanded to Israel, followed by India in 2018 and the USA in 2019.
In 2020, Purple Media diversified by establishing Purple Cafe.
By 2023, the company had ventured into the Japanese market, and in 2024, it generated $3 billion in media value, expanding further into Canada, joining ASTA and ACTA, and establishing Purple Media LLC in the USA.
